In Search of The Perfect Drink...
Believe it or not, fizzytea®
was born over the skies of the Pacific Northwest
during the hot summer months of 2007.
Working as a pilot for a small regional airline, Drew Woehrle had grown tired of the
typical beverage offerings of water, juice and soda so he set out on a
mission to create
something healthy and delicious to quench his thirst.
In between flights he'd experiment in the
kitchen of his
small one bedroom apartment in Southwestern Washington. Always a fan of tea, he decided to use it as his
foundation and, while he enjoyed several different varieties, he ultimately
favored loose-leaf organic green tea for
its smooth flavor and high antioxidant content. He then infused natural fruit
flavors while adding just the right amount of cane juice for a touch of sweetness, and
then perhaps most importantly, he topped it all off with a light fizz to make it extra refreshing
(and extra fun!).
Satisfied with his new beverage of choice, he not
only consumed MANY gallons of the stuff himself, but he offered his concoction to
his friends and family. “fizzytea,” as it was referred to, was an instant
hit and soon the entrepreneur in Drew compelled him to open his very own
beverage company supplying Drew's Organic fizzytea®
throughout the Pacific Northwest.
